Domenic J. Pietropaolo was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to a working-class family. Mr. Pietropaolo is a second generation American, as his Grandfather emigrated to the United States from Italy. Mr. Pietropaolo graduated from high school in 2010 and attended the University of Pittsburgh where he was a scholar athlete for Pitt Wrestling. He graduated from Pitt with a Bachelor’s degree in History and minors in Political Science and Italian Language in 2014 before attending law school at Duquesne University of the Holy Spirit. Mr. Pietropaolo graduated from Duquesne, earning his J.D. in 2017 and was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in October of 2017.
Mr. Pietropaolo has been passionate about practicing, especially, criminal defense since law school and worked as an intern for a local criminal defense attorney while in school. He also interned in a second job in a local personal injury firm all while working a third job throughout law school for Duquesne as a graduate assistant. Duquesne University imparts in all of its students a desire to aid the poor and to take part in public service, and those qualities have helped to make Mr. Pietropaolo the attorney and man he is today. The time he spent in school juggling academics, wrestling, and then working through law school has taught him discipline and an unbending work ethic, which he carried with him while he worked as an Allegheny County Public Defender, before continuing to practice as a private attorney with his own firm, Pietropaolo Law Offices.
Mr. Pietropaolo began working for Thomas A. Will and Associates in June of 2025, joining up with Attorney Thomas A. Will and Attorney Bruce L. Castor, III, the latter of whom has been a close friend of Mr. Pietropaolo ‘s since their time in law school together at Duquesne. Mr. Pietropaolo’s time as a public defender and as a private attorney with his own firm has helped him to gain invaluable experience, particularly within the courtroom where Mr. Pietropaolo is at his best. Mr. Pietropaolo knows how to get results for his clients, having successfully handled thousands of cases, winning Non-Jury and Jury trials, handling successful appeals (including at the Pennsylvania Supreme Court), and winning juvenile criminal defense cases.
Mr. Pietropaolo personally guarantees that you will receive every bit of his skill, energy, experience, and care when representing you.
